Scholastic performance is a personal endeavor dependent upon individual desire and motivation. It is a clear expectation of the Sorority that each member will strive to reach her full scholastic potential. With the pressures of today's college students - school, family, friends, work and extracurricular activities plus planning for a successful future, which at times can seem uncertain at best, it is often difficult to find a balance in ones life. However, when one places scholarship as a high priority, the other demands fall into place.
At Lambda Delta Phi, part of our mission is to broaden the intellectual life of our members. To help the chapter achieve its best academically, we have a comprehensive program that guides our members through their college years. At LDPhi we provide the following academic resources:
- Designated quiet hours to help members study.
- Access to study files and text book library.
- Personal Academic/Faculty Advisor
- An Academic Calendar that shows tests, papers, projects, and due dates of major assignments of members.
- A posted board to record study hours and and class attendance.
- "Skippy Jar" If members did not skip class all week they can place their name in the "skippy jar" which is passed around at Chapter meeting for the chance to be chosen for a weekly prize!
- "A, B Box" If members receive an A or B on a test, paper, or project they can put their name in the "A, B Box" for the chance to be chosen for a major prize at the end of the semester.
We also encourage our members to utilize their professor's office hours, the campus SMART commons, and free campus tutoring.
